My name is Kenneth Vigue, author and narrator of this podcast. Growing up my grandmother would take me to the library in the town where I grew up every weekend. One fateful day, I ventured out of the children's room and headed up the massive Victorian staircase to the upstairs. I was awestruck by the 3-level open space, surrounded with balconies filled with books. In one cornered I wandered up to the very top level and found a dark and dusty corner room. It was filled floor to ceiling with records, which I had never seen before. I checked out "Lights Out: Murder Castle", a vintage radio horror. So began a lifelong love of the kind of audio wizardry that could be cooked up with sound long, long before television. It required an active imagination, and it cultivated it in turn.
Podcasting today has given new life to this vintage auditory art form, with groundbreaking shows such as "The NoSleep Podcast", "Limetown" and "The Black Tapes" being modern versions of classic radio drama.
With this podcast, 3 of my great loves have come together into some kind of mutated concoction of sound. My hope is to see more Fallout fans getting creative, sharing their passion and building on this amazing universe.

Synopsis: All things end. After the end of everything, a wounded Vault Dweller leaves behind one last message. In it, he tells us a story of survival, dates gone wrong, cannibalism, friendship and a rivalry. A rivalry that has torn apart the landscape of West Virginia. His name is Simon and he wants to tell you about a dickhead named Chad.
Author's note: What began as a drunken evening at Morgantown High School in Fallout 76 with friends in a virtual world recalling people from school named Chad...turned into a series of comedic journal entries you all seemed to enjoy. With a lot of work, I present a pilot episode for my first audio drama podcast. I've never done anything like this before...so please show your approval with likes, comments and shares.
Also I feel like a shill, but it was suggested to me to setup a Patreon account to help support the production of the podcast. The purchase of royalty free sound effects and music is completely out of pocket. So any support is welcomed and much appreciated. I have 23 stories written so far...so we have plenty of content for episodes.

I’m Kenneth Vigue…and this is a very short news update that eventually I’ll be removing from the active feed. Inktober has become a trend for artists to challenge themselves to create art each day of the month to build their skills. One of our podcast fans Craig Bruyn happened to be a comic book artist and created an amazingly well done piece of the moment Chad met Susie at her “lemonade” and death stand. In truth, without any prompting he captured exactly how I pictured the characters. By special arrangement this image is being produced on an 8x10 canvas. Only 30 of these are being made, of which only 27 are left since the item was added to our store yesterday. Craig has also joined us as our official artist, in future doing more of these that will be offered in limited numbers on canvas to create a series. I bought one myself and you should check out the image on our Facebook account. If you’d like to grab one before they are gone, visit our website at fallout76podcast.com or find the link to purchase it at the top of our Facebook page. While I have you, I wanted to invite you to join us on Halloween for our first annual Halloween special. Between now and then we’ll be dropping some new autumn and Halloween themed mini episodes. I also wanted to invite you to join our Discord server with a link in these notes as well as a link that is on our website. Get early access to news and stories, chat with us, and say hello. We all would love to talk to you. On October 30th, I’ll also be dropping a special 2 hour long episode with other hosts of the Robots Radio Network, the network this podcast is a part of. It features a radio drama style story written by me and will feature 10 tales of terror told by each host. Real life paranormal experiences and each hosts’ favorite horror short story. I’ll be sharing one of my favorite’s by Ray Bradbury, one of my heroes and favorite authors. If you haven’t yet, follow us on Facebook, Instagram and Twitter all at fallout76podcast I’ll see you in the wasteland!

Happy Thanksgiving to those of us in the United States (and a belated one for our friends in Canada)! In this episode, the gang gathers to celebrate a year surviving in Appalachia. Simon is back with Jake and Amata at last and they plan a Thanksgiving feast in their new home that quickly gets derailed by dark cravings. Meanwhile Chad's gang gets introduced to Punch the Supermutant and decide to take little Susie on a "turkey hunt". Amongst all the holiday cheer however, a dark force has been growing in power this past year...they are the crown known as the Apocalyptic Aristocracy. It's teeth? Well...some of its members are E.A.T.T. In this special episode Kris Graul of the Establishment of Appalachia Taste Testers voices himself! Tuck in and enjoy the feast...but it's not your usual fair.

Happy Holidays from our family to yours! It's been 25 years since the world ended. No one who pushed the big red button that day thought he was real. Not one. Yet he endured. The Earth grew silent in the decades after the Great War and the personification of Christmas spirit waited for a light. Just one light in this dark world. The Apocalypse has not been kind to Father Christmas, but this season Santa is going to see a spark of life in Appalachia that will change him forever.

This is Kenneth Vigue and I am…still reeling. If you haven’t seen the news already, Alex Kane from Forbes Magazine interviewed me about this show and the article dropped a few days ago. In it, we talked about my experience with Fallout 76 and how this show came to be. Prior to that, James Wood another reporter for PowerUp, a gaming digital magazine also interviewed me about our show, its origin and where we’re going. I’ve linked both of these articles if you’re interested in the show notes and also pinned them to our social channels. Because of this article we picked up a large chunk of new subscribers, listening now…and I thank you for giving our show a shot. For all the latest news, make sure to follow us on Facebook and Twitter and also check out the special video editions of every episode up on our YouTube channel linked in these show notes and on our website.

--- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/fallout76podcast/messageBONUS EPISODE! It was a secret Enclave project, paid for through illegally diverted funds from the Department of Agriculture. On the morning of the Great War, one man would subvert the United States government and seize control. His name was Thomas Eckhart and for every terror you encounter after Reclamation Day, he was solely responsible. In a special bonus episode I sit down with Mr. Robots of the Fallout Lorecast to piece together the murder, madness and mystery of what happened in the Whitespring Bunker.
NOTE: You haven't seen the last of Thomas Eckhart...he will be very shortly resurface in Appalachia. Will Chad and the gang survive this madman? Probably.

--- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/fallout76podcast/messageThis is Kenneth Vigue and I have some news. Firstly, I apologize for the delay with the next episode. We unexpectedly had a major opportunity fall into our laps that is going to blow your mind. It means that I had to stop production to shift gears and work on that very special something that is coming next month. While I can’t talk about what it is yet, I can promise you that it’s going to be worth the wait. When I can share what it is, I'll give you all the details, but it's the most complex thing I've ever done...and I want it to be an experience you'll remember.
In the meanwhile, since I am just 90 minutes from Boston, some of the cast and I will be attending PAX East next month and would love the opportunity to meet some of you! You can find more details in the Event we’ve posted on our Facebook page and I’ll be updating that with more details to arrange a meet up on Saturday the 29th. If you’ve never been to one of the PAX shows they are amazing…and this will be my first one.
If I can get production of this unexpected something out of the way, Episode 11 will drop before then…if not, I will be plugging in some minisodes I’ve been working on to keep you tuned in over the next few weeks.
Again, I thank you for listening and I hope to see you in the Wasteland.

Check out the official Bethesda Game Days landing page with all the details!
This is Kenneth Vigue….and I can FINALLY share some MASSIVE news with you. Back in December Alex Kane from Forbes Magazine contacted me and wrote an amazing article on the podcast. Since then the show has exploded with even more new listeners and subscribers that have tuned into our weird little post-apocalyptic podcast. More excitingly, that article caught the attention of Bethesda themselves who reached out to me early last month to ask if we would be able to do produce a LIVE stage show of a podcast episode at Bethesda Game Days in Boston during PAX East. We hopped on the opportunity immediately and I shelved where we were with Episode 11 to shift focus to developing a live performance. I was and am deeply honored for the opportunity and was even more surprised when I found out that the creative minds at Bethesda who created the world we create stories in has been listening to and enjoys this podcast. This will be the first time they have ever done anything like this, so I feel no small pressure in doing it well, so they embrace more community created projects in the future.
So, on Saturday February 29th at 3:30pm EST we will be taking the stage at the Westin Seaport Hotel in Boston at Bethesda Game Days to stage a 50-minute show. If you are going to PAX East, we’d love you to visit the venue, Laugh Boston, to see us perform and if not, fear not because Bethesda will be streaming it and all of the stage shows as usual on all of their social platforms: from YouTube to Twitch. It also won’t just be me up there, 12 of the cast were able to make the trip with the rest of the cast still participating in a way you’ll see. Between now and then you’ll see some behind the scenes vlogs and pictures of us prepping for the event and enjoying Bethesda Game Days courtesy of Zenimax.
Guest starring in this episode are a few of the Fallout 5-0, one of the best roleplaying Fallout 76 factions out there: its founders Ray & Lucy Middelthon as well as actor Brandon Ledford. All three of those voices will be familiar from Episodes 5 & 6, our Sickleman Saga where they performed as Commander Conner Johns, Lt. Kori Anders and Office Isaac Hawkins respectively.
For now, stay tuned and I hope you’ll turn in for the live show. If you miss it, Bethesda is being kind enough to capture a clean audio feed from the live show to upload here as a formal podcast episode.
Again, I apologize in the delay in between episodes, but now you know what we’ve been working on in the meanwhile. I also was invited by Dave Chafinz of the former Vault Boys West Virginia podcast and Mr. Robots of the Fallout Lorecast to co-host with them a new Fallout news, community and discussion program called The Fallout Hub. We’ll be dropping an episode next week in which I’ll be talking in more detail about to expect with the live show. If you haven’t checked out that show, give a listen and subscribe to hear more from me on everything Fallout there. In between now and the end of the month when our live episode will air I’m going to add the first episode as a bonus episode for you to listen to.
To keep up to date on all the news of this show, make sure to follow us on Facebook where you can see a special trailer to promote the live show I created. Also seek out the Apocalyptic Aristocracy group on Facebook, my community and Discord home for everything Fallout 76 if you want to join us in game and say hello.
In the meanwhile, thank you for listening and I’ll see you in the Wasteland.
I was invited by Dave Chafinz of the former Vault Boys West Virginia podcast and Mr. Robots of the Fallout Lorecast to co-host with them a new Fallout news, community and discussion program called The Fallout Hub. Fear not...I am lending my voice and thoughts with this show and our CHAD podcast has 3 more seasons to go!
On the first episode of The Fallout Hub, Tom, Ken, and Dave clamber down into the vault to broadcast their latest thoughts. Hackers are busy going Super Saiyan over the Whitespring (and the group looses it over his naughty username). We talk about "bloodied is the new black" as we deep dive into the “Glass Cannon” of Fallout 76. Bethesda may even be a genie in the bottle as fans react to the Fallout 1st subscription model. Also Ray and Lucy Middelthon of the Fallout Five-0 drop by to talk about community based roleplaying in Fallout 76. Of course, the first people to break in on us are the cops!

This is Kenneth Vigue with a few quick announcements. Firstly, after Bethesda Game Days a few weeks back, almost the entire cast with the exception of myself and a few others became ill. Thankfully, everyone checked out COVID-19 free and it appears to be just a flu they all caught. Because of this, we only just wrapped preproduction on the live director’s cut episode I promised you. I’ll be working this week and weekend on getting that out the door finally. Simultaneously, I have picked back up Episode 11 where we last left off with the Aristocracy and EATT and that episode will be following our live episode in a few weeks. After that, we’ll finally be back on track! In between now and the end of the month we are running a Meme Contest! We’ve started receiving some amazing memes that you can find on our Twitter, Facebook and Instagram pages, so from now through March 24th, create a meme or several and tag us on Instagram, Twitter or upload it to our Facebook page in the contest post thread. We’ll be picking one winner who will appear on the podcast in an upcoming episode! Lastly, since Game Days we have DOUBLED our audience and now have almost 110,000 listens and downloads under our belt which is just amazing. Along with that we’ve picked up a lot of new Patrons supporting the production of the show on Patreon. All of the amazing music and sound effects come directly from your support…so we are going to hold our first Patrons Party on Friday, March 27th at 5pm EST. You’ll get to hang and chat with us in Discord and listen in on our drunken read through of an upcoming episode. You can become a Patron for as little as a dollar, and going forward we’ll be having more of these meetups with you all, including having one patron each quarter be randomly selected to appear in a podcast episode! If you’re interested in becoming a Patron, check the link in the show notes. In the meanwhile, if you want to hear more of me, we’ve been doing some amazing episodes on the Fallout community over at my other podcast The Fallout Hub. Subscribe and give a listen! Until then, I hope to see you in the Wasteland…

In the fourth of our minisodes we explore the lost holotapes of Simon Rex that chronicle his misadventures from Reclamation Day until his fateful meeting with Chad. In this tale, Simon awakens to find Vault 76 empty and as he doggedly pursues any trace of his best friends Jake and Amata, there is a dark and terrible thing just behind him. Listen...do you hear it? It's calling for help...and its name is Mr. Messenger.

As I put the finishing touches on an almost feature length episode, here’s another minisode written by our own Jessica Duval and Christian Mower with editing by Christian Mower as well. While I’ve been working on our bigger arcs, the cast have started to explore their characters and will be sharing fun tales of their adventures for you. In this episode, Susie takes her friend Punch on an afternoon adventure. But as it often does, a stroll through the countryside and a visit to an old friend turn into an event that just won’t quit.
As always, remember that this post-apocalyptic podcast contains some foul language, dark humor, fart jokes, and depictions of well warranted violence. You have been warned, now time for some tea!

CHAD: A FALLOUT 76 STORY LIVE! This Saturday, February 29th at 3:30pm EST (stream details below)
This is Kenneth Vigue and this is my last message to you before we take to the stage this Saturday at 3:30pm Eastern Standard Time at Bethesda Game Days! The live episode will be streamed on Bethesda’s Mixer, Twitch, YouTube and Facebook Live channels…so you have plenty of ways to tune in. The cast and I have worked these past two months to create something special and I think you’ll enjoy it. And now for a few more teases before that event. Our own Cody Hightower, the voice of YouTube’s Old World Radio’s Appalachia Radio channel created with the cast some teaser holotapes that are prequels to the events of the live episode. Enjoy them and I hope you’ll tune in. We passed 65,000 listens and subscribes a few weeks back, after we were mentioned by Fallout YouTuber Juicehead and had even more press mentions. I thank all of you for listening and if you can do just one thing for me, take a moment to drop a review on iTunes or Stitcher. It really helps me. And now to our prologue tales. As you wander the broken land of the Ash Heap, the chemical caked earth dusting up at each step to choke you, you stumble on a curious discarded pile of holotapes. You pick them up…pop one in…and listen…as voices call out from the dark…
Bethesda has 2 days of streaming panels planned starting Friday. They'll be broadcast on these channels:

Mixer: https://mixer.com/Bethesda?vod=86950977

DIRECTOR'S CUT OF THE BETHESDA GAME DAYS SPECIAL! It's been one year since the Vault door opened and we emerged to reclaim Appalachia. In this special live episode performed at Bethesda Game Days, the law finally catches up with them. The Five-0 New Responders throw them in jail pending trial. Secrets will be revealed, the Overseer breaks her silence...and we are introduced to The Judge. As a bonus episode, here is the stage show that you can now watching in video form on Spotify of the show that we performed live at Bethesda Game Days in Boston on stage with Pete Hines!
We are approaching the start of our season 2 and I am thrilled on some of the new stories we are bringing you as strangers start showing up in Appalachia. We also wanted to take this time to wish you and your family well during a year that will likely long be remembered in history as one of the most turbulent of modern times. This episode introduces our first African American voice actress, the real life actress Ashley Jaye. In this episode written by our own Alexander Luthor, the Chad is out late at night having forgotten a present for Susie when he stumbles on a group of people. Despite our differences, Chad finds out when it comes to what makes us human we should never judge on appearance alone...

I invite all of you to join Tom Blair AKA Mr. Robots, Dave Chafinz and myself as hosts of The Fallout Hub QuakeCon At Home Community Showcase on Saturday, August 8th at 3pm EST that will be streamed at Twitch.tv/Bethesda and also on their YouTube channel. I have been working on this in the background the past few months and we have an amazing show planned for you.
We will be raising money for the Trevor Project, a non-profit LGBTQ+ organization founded in 1998 by the creators of the Academy Award®-winning short film TREVOR. They are the leading national organization providing crisis intervention and suicide prevention services to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer & questioning (LGBTQ) young people under 25.
To sweeten the deal, I am running a contest of my own. If you tune in during the broadcast and donate at least $20, your name will be going into a drawing I am holding on our social media channels IMMEDIATELY after the broadcast. For any resident in the United States excluding Hawaii and Alaska, your name will be tossed in this top hat here for a chance to win Ella, the hand made talking doll that was created by hand and programmed by me that was on stage with us at Bethesda Game Days. It’s one of a kind. Also, 2nd prize will be an E.A.T.T. Wastelanders Guide to People’ Eatin’ chef’s apron and 3rd prize will be a BroFit t-shirt in the size of your choosing.
I also will be part of QuakeCon At Home’s stream team, streaming all weekend long on our Twitch Channel and the link will be in the show notes. On Friday, August 7th at 5pm EST my friend DJ XeloX will be in game spinning deep house music, the very first Fallout 76 in game concert ever held. We will also be doing some fun activities, so tune in for that as well!
As always, I thank you all for your support. Season 2 is gearing up to open with a bang with some exciting guest stars and also, a brand-new theme song created by composer Danny Ravenhall. Our video version of the podcast will feature a new intro I created with the theme and it’s realllly good. To play this announcement out, I present our new theme for season 2. I hope to see you in the Wasteland…

This is Kenneth Vigue and this episode is a little bit different. Yesterday, to a global audience, Tom, Dave and I on the Fallout Hub joined Bethesda for QuakeCon At Home and aired a showstopping almost 2 hour variety showcase of music, interviews, games, sketches and more, including…my first machinima film which will be available on our YouTube channel shortly. To build some hype for our global debut, the cast joined together creating their own variety episode of stories and sketches with your favorite characters. Cody Hightower, Adam Silva and Kevin Chenard wrote the stories and shorts you are about to hear and Christian Mower, whom you know better as the lovable Punch produced them. This show ends with a prologue to our machinima, titled, “The Sickleman Was Here”. So kick back, relax….grab your 3d glasses and some popcorn, because the cast of CHAD: A Fallout 76 story…is taking you to the drive-in….

This minisode is something special. Created specifically for QuakeCon At Home, it served as the basis for our first machinima film, created in 4k using Fallout 76 gameplay footage as part of the community showcase. You’ll find the link to that on our social media channels and also up on our YouTube channel. This story takes us back to 1 year ago, just after the events of last summer that saw the Overseer unmasked as the terrifying Sickleman. We open just after her capture by the Five-0 New Responders and as we’ll discover, Chad, Simon and the gang had no idea that they had woken up something far older and hungrier than anything they have faced. It will serve as a prologue to our Season 2 opener coming next month. Look there, on the cover of that scuffed plastic VHS cassette case. It’s an image of a totem in the woods…filled with skulls…and slowly, candles are lighting themselves at its base. It’s calling out beyond the veil and into the void. And look there…see it…just beyond? There’s a shadow there…but before we get too ahead of ourselves, pop yourself some popcorn, put on some leg warmers and warm up that VHS player. I’d like you to press play on our feature presentation: The Sickleman Was Here.

In this tale, Simon and his companion Legs the mute (who now communicates through the eating of potato chips into a microphone), we return to Helvetia to chase down a lost holotape Simon left there last year. --- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/fallout76podcast/messageThis is Kenneth Vigue. I was carving pumpkins when a witch crashed into the bushes outside Vigue Manor deep in the Carpathian Mountains (of New Hampshire). She cursed me and the entire podcast crew by hurling us into an alternate reality where we takeover the Fresh Tomatoes Podcast this week and Chad and Simone from the Fresh Tomatoes Podcast take over ours! Ironically enough the hosts of that show are named Chad and Simone...
But don't worry, the season premiere of our show will be this Saturday!
PART 1:
In this original story written and edited by Chad Echakowitz, he and Simone are headed to a Fresh Tomatoes Movie Con when their plane crashes in Appalachia. After attempting to figure out the meta of a Fallout America, they meet Simon and Chad who see an opportunity to time travel to a better universe.
Please check out their amazing show (and our crossover episode) here: https://anchor.fm/fresh-tomatoes-podcast
STARRING:
PART 2:
Myself and Jessica Duval (the voice of Susie the ghoul) travel to the Fresh Tomatoes compound. I search throughout its vast echoing halls and find no trace of Chad or Simone, but oddly I hear Jessica singing in a dark room in the voice of Susie with some thumping and screaming coming from an old trunk. In our version of the Fresh Tomatoes podcast, Jessica and I sit down to review two of the films we watched during our CHAD: A Fallout 76 Story Halloween Drive-In event: Death Bed (1977) and Plan 9 From Outer Space (1959). Buckle up because this has everything from the Hell's Angels to KFC.

We are 24 hours away from the start of Season 2! Before that however I wanted to bring you something different. After this podcast took off, I started Fallout 76 Writer’s Campfire Guild to help other would be authors and podcasters find a support group to help get their tales told. After months of work, their shows are coming online this year in the form of new original stories set in the Fallout universe and they are magnificent. As a little bit of a teaser, some of our group have written some original horror stories, suited to the season. The Fallout 76 Writer’s Campfire Guild invites you to done your finest Halloween outfit, pull in close by our campfire and put those weapons away. There’s cold Nuka Colas there and Stimpaks over there…just in case the Mosquitoes get frisky. Each tale will begin and end with the sound of a gong, an homage to style of one of my favorite old-time radio programs, “Lights Out”.

This bonus episode features 3 digitally restored classic horror tales from the Golden Age of Radio. I included these because these 3 stories in particular had a profound effect on me when I was young as a writer. From an era where radio drama could send chills up your spine with just voice alone...these stories are something special. Dim the lights...light the fire...and enjoy...

Happy Halloween! Season 2 begins with a bang...a feature length opener that is a story I've wanted to tell for a long time.
In the final Halloween before the Great War, 12 people went missing after visiting a mysterious autumn carnival. As Simon and Chad prepare for another Halloween in Appalachia, a strange wailing train whistle heralds the return of the Autumn People, born from the dust to pray on the misery and discord they create. At an impossible carnival of nightmares, Chad and Simon will battle for their souls and one of them will lose. The cast of CHAD: A Fallout 76 Story cordially invite you to Cooger and Dark's Pandemonium Shadow Show.
Based on Ray Bradbury's iconic story, "Something Wicked This Way Comes".

Just at the start of a New Year, the Midwestern United States found itself hammered with unprecedented winter weather, a week of which has devastated Texas. Millions of Americans without power, heat and running water. They were caught without warning and no infrastructure to handle this kind of weather. As of this recording almost 3 million people in Texas are without power. 21 people are dead, among them a younger mother and her daughter who died in their own garage from carbon monoxide poisoning…just trying to stay warm.
In the city of Austin, where the Bethesda Austin team lives and works, over 2,500 people are struggling to stay warm and fed and they desperately need our help. In December over 350 of us worldwide held hands and mobilized to save the lives of children. Now we’re needed again.
The Fallout For Hope Team invite you to join us in supporting the Austin Area Urban League Love Your Neighbor campaign. War. War never changes…but hope…hope can save lives.

As the dust settles after the nuclear blast that wiped out Camp Wannagrindalot, Chad and Simon's gang return to every day life. As Simon, Jake and Amata attempt to build a super reactor, Chad finally finds a place for his family to call home: The Rusty Pick. As Simon sets off for supplies, he finds himself taking up an internship to raise caps with a bizarre paranormal investigation outfit. Dave Chaffins guest stars and wants to remind you all that if a Mothman is harassing your mailbox, it's best not to call Cryptid Creeps.

I have a big favor to ask. This year I entered the show in the 16thAnnual People’s Choice Podcast Awards in two categories: the Adam Curry People’s Choice Award and Games and Hobbies. It would mean a great deal to myself and the entire cast and crew that if you enjoy this show as much as we hope you do, you’ll take a few minutes to signup to vote. Just go to podcastawards.com and click the “Click Here To Vote” button in the next 2 days as nomination voting closes July 31st. I’ll also drop the direct link to it here in the show notes. I’ve never put our name up for anything but I figured…what the hell. I can also tell you part 2 of Cryptid Creeps is in final mixing and polishing, so stay tuned for that to be dropping soon.
--- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/fallout76podcast/messageIn a darkened barn deep in the forest near Flatwoods, an otherworldly horror is about to seize control of the airwaves and subject Simon and the gang to the cringiest cliché radio drama imaginable. Chad meanwhile hurries back to the Rusty Pick with Doc C.J. Martin as he struggles to understand what is wrong with Susie...and the prognosis is dire. Elsewhere, a shadow descends on Jake as he finishes the reactor for the Red Sloe Diner and things will never be the same.

For the next 4 weeks in between our next episode we're kicking off a summer podcast fest to introduce you to and celebrate other original Fallout 76 storytelling podcasts that are born from our Writer's Campfire Guild. These shows ALSO take place in the same universe as our show and you can expect to see some crossover in the lead up to next year's Season 2 finale.
A good friend of mine with my blessing has started a storytelling podcast of his own that is exceptionally good, quite a bit more serious than our show that also takes place in the world of Fallout 76. His podcast is The Omega Broadcast, A Fallout Story and chronicles the journey of Bryan Burton as he begins building a settlement called Omega. I’ve linked his show in the notes here and I hope if you like what you hear you’ll check out his other episodes and give him a follow. And if you are a writer or a wanna be writer…get out there and tell your stories. I’d love to hear them.

Learn the history of the new Enclave in Appalachia. After Reclamation Day, the Vault 76 residents found themselves in a world they no longer recognized. Some became Lone Wanderers, others became Raiders or banded together as new Settlers. Others found themselves in the Whitespring Bunker - and with the assistance of MODUS, began to rebuild America in the image of the old....

On behalf of the entire cast and crew, thank you for half a million listens. There is nothing more naked to the very core of you than the act of creation. To put your work and your soul out there is a terrifying thing, and I never imagined we’d ever get this far, to be ranked in the top 0.5% of all podcasts worldwide. And that’s on all of you, all of our Patrons and listeners, and the team at Bethesda who heard a punchline about a shallow grave and welcomed us to a stage. If not for Fallout 76 specifically it’s likely I never would’ve started writing again. All of you gave me back something I thought I lost long ago and it’s a debt I can never repay…but I will certainly try with every story we tell and the work that we do. Even bigger thanks to our amazingly talented cast and crew who take words on a page and bring them to life with such depth, humor, and complexity.
To celebrate this milestone, we welcome all of you to join us for a live cast party on Saturday, November 6th at 5pm EDT at https://Twitch.TV/ChadFallout76Podcast. Buckle up, because we’re going to tell you stories you haven’t heard.

Due to a salary cutback at work that was very unexpected, I've been working in the evening to make up for the loss with extra projects. This setback the editing timeline of part 3 of Dark Hallowe'en by a few weeks and for that I'm very sorry. Christian Mower is helping editing it now and we're planning on wrapping it up next weekend. Again, very sorry...but it was not at all something I foresaw. In other news tonight is our 500k listens LIVE show and we have some things to share...

This is Kenneth Vigue wishing you the merriest of Christmases, the happiest of holidays and the warmest of season’s eatings. I want to update you on what we’ve been up to. Since December 4th, we’ve organized a global superstream charity initiative to benefit St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital under the umbrella of an initiative I started last year: Fallout For Hope. Over 300 Fallout streamers and content creators from around the globe working together to raise funds for life saving surgeries for kids fighting for their lives at a time of year when they should be home. As of right now we’ve raised over $122 thousand dollars with 5 days to go.
The pinnacle event the cast and crew has been working on however is a live broadcast episode of this podcast, with the cast and some exceptionally special guest voice actors bringing Charles’ Dickens A Christmas Carol to Appalachia. This live broadcast pairs live performance with stage performance on movie scale soundstages built in Fallout 76. The cast is a dream with iconic voice actor Wes Johnson, voice of Sheogorath in Elder Scrolls and loads of Fallout characters is starring as Lord Alastair Olivier whose travelling caravan of performers arrive in Appalachia to bring that classic holiday story to life for raiders, settlers and Brotherhood alike. As you can imagine, it goes downhill from there. Bethesda’s Pete Hines will be joining us again as Jacob Marley. Alex will not be playing Chad, but Oliver’s protégé Tarquin Blowhard…and …ehm Alex came up with that name. Also joining us are Courtenay Taylor who voiced the female Sole Survivor in Fallout 4, Jan Johns whose voice work has been heard in Fallout 3, 4 and 76 from Bittercup way back when to Enola Walker in 76. Mike Rosson who voiced almost all memorable ghouls in Fallout 3 including Gob and even Charon. Craig Sechler whom you know better as that vault bully and original Chad in Fallout 3 Butch DeLoria. Bethesda’s Sean Baptiste is also joining us as the Ghost of Christmas Yet to Come and Twitch streamer Dust Monkey will be playing Fred Scrooge’s nephew. From our cast, Jessica Dickey and Dr. Mark Hauswirth will be brining Brian and MaryAnne to the stage to annoy Lord Alastair and Dr. Mark’s children Logan and Sophia will also be joining us again. Last but not least that silver voice on the microphone Fenwa Teryen will be playing a very musically gifted Peter Cratchit.
This performance will be for charity with us dropping it after airs into your feed to enjoy as a standalone episode. It’ll be happening this Friday starting at 6pm Est at twitch.tv/chadfallout76podcast
I very much hope I’ll see you there and of course, in the Wasteland.
--- Send in a voice message: https://anchor.fm/fallout76podcast/message Support this podcast: https://anchor.fm/fallout76podcast/supportIt's now a few months since the events of Dark Hallowe'en and the holidays arrive in Appalachia. While Simon remains frozen and Chad and the gang celebrate a restored Susie (more on that next episode), a strange travelling caravan of performers arrives in Appalachia. Led by Lord Alastair Olivier (Wes Johnson), after their cast is decimated by a Scorched Beast, a casting call is held to refill their ranks and they get some fairly unusual responses. Staged as part of the Fallout For Hope charity drive to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, we are joined by Bethesda's Pete Hines and Sean Baptiste with the who's who of Bethesda voice actors from Fallout 3, 4 and 76 including Courtenay Taylor, Jan Johns, Craig Sechler and Mike Rosson. The curtain is about to open on their final rehearsal, and it goes about as well as you'd expect.
EDITOR'S NOTE: As this was performed live via the Internet, in some spots audio quality isn't our usual standard, and we hope you'll forgive it.

Our series of minisodes continues as you learn a little more about some of our most beloved characters while we are editing 2 different large-scale stories. For most of us, at one point or another in our life, we’ve experienced loss. Whether it be the death of a loved one, a friend, a job, maybe it’s the loss of a dream or ideal and the list goes on. It can be a painful and lonely experience, or it might even be relieving in some cases. At the end of the day though, it leaves a void in our lives. It changes us in some way or another. They say time heals all wounds, that’s not to say that life is ever the same, but life does indeed go on. In this minisode written by George Wolf we’ll learn a little more about Solomon and what he was like before he donned his robes to become the High Priest for the Mothman. You know life can be unpredictable, but we’ll soon learn that it’s not always about the perk cards that you are dealt as much as it is what you do with them that makes the difference. The saying goes “Tis a season and time for everything.” A time to mourn and a time to renew. There is also a time to go Simping for the Mothman…

Some months have passed since the events of Dark Hallowe’en and the gang are still picking up the pieces. Some remember what happened, others do not, but in the wake of Mr. Dark’s departure shadows hang over Appalachia. In the distance a cloud of dust heralds something that will change everything. People...returning…Settlers and Raiders alike and as we'll discover, they all came in search of something. Some come for treasure, others come for answers, and for Chad? He finally has found home.
TRIGGER warning: the opening scene deals with substance abuse and suicide. Proceed through the vault door at your own risk.

This is a very different minisode, performed as a live webcam play on Zoom for charity, but I'm sharing it here because it was epic. In an original story written by Alexander Luthor, the Mad God Sheogorath has shattered both time and space in pursuit of something he desperately needs. He will find his unlikely fetch quest heroes in an unlikely place: Appalachia. In this Fallout/Elder Scrolls crossover event broadcast on our Twitch channel during the #FalloutForHope campaign to benefit the Alzheimer's Association, special guest stars join us for a ridiculous romp through a mysterious land.

This is Kenneth Vigue and yes, I miss you too. We’ve been on a short mid-season break both writing, editing and producing the last episodes of season 2 and they are incredibly ambitious. Part of the delay in getting them out the door is they’ve been complicated to write as all of the plot threads the past two seasons will very soon come to fruition as the Battle For Appalachia looms. The other part is talks and arranging for so many of the original voice actors to join us, reprising their roles for good cause. The end of our season will be done for charity, supporting the work of Project Hope. I know it’s taking a bit to get these stories out to you, but trust me when I say it will be worth it for you, so apologies and know that I appreciate your patience and support. I also wanted to share that tomorrow, August 19th at 5pm Eastern Time we’ll be hosting a table read for a future episode titled, “Meanwhile in Nuclear Winter”. You may not that our Patreon patrons are always invited behind the scenes with us for rehearsals. They are always full read-throughs, so they will contain spoilers. You’ll find the link to our Patreon in the show notes. This weekend I’ll also be live on Twitch for QuakeCon with some of the Bethesda team. We’ll be doing some fundraising and playing some truly unique games we’ve designed in game for the Bethesda developers to play with us. It starts tomorrow evening with Dweller Drop Game at 7pm Eastern. On Saturday I’ll be hosting Apocalypse Squares with the celebrity voice actors from Fallout 3, New Vegas 4 and 76 joining us for a game show at 2pm Eastern. Later that evening we’ll be doing a final event called the JunkaShine Run with Bethesda Art Director Jon Rush. It includes some festive Nukashine drinking that would make Moose proud in a dash for the trash. That’ll be at 7pm Eastern. Our next episode, “Rusty Pick Raiders, Sugar Grove Secrets” is in final editing and dropping soon. If you listen closely…a terrifying song is just over the horizon…and with it will come a Nuclear Winter.

They're about to go into the woods for their next merit badge and it goes...well...you'll find out...

This minisode written by George Wolf picks up where we last left Brian and MaryAnne following their misadventure with Solomon that left Brian transformed into Briognak The Scouting Barbarian! In this series we explore the often-whacky adventures of Brian and MaryAnne, their ghoul scout ward Becky in the dangerous woods of Appalachia where adventure lies just around the corner.
This episode introduces veteran actor Simon Bugg as our old time radio announcer and podcaster/voice actor Brad Williams as Jim!

But on October 10th, 1997 a game that was almost cancelled twice, created by a small team of passionate gamers and developers was presented to the world. Fallout. Two of its original creators join us for a 25th anniversary retrospective for charity, hosted by Oxhorn and myself. We’re beginning this celebration by going back to in time…

He had recorded lines for 2 multi-part episodes arriving next month: "Rusty Pick Raiders, Sugar Grove Secrets" and "...Meanwhile in Nuclear Winter".
His family have asked for some help financially for his children. Any and all donations and support are welcome and I’ve linked their GoFundMe and Buy Me A Coffee campaigns to help his children.

Halloween has returned to Appalachia and with it, anxiety and fear due to the events of the last few years. As people bar their doors and board up their windows, Chad's gang prepares to celebrate the holiday safely indoors at the Rusty Pick. Susie brings home something from her past, a book of stories whispered to her at night by Ella. As night descends and chaos erupts outside, the stories begin...but there is nothing to fear. They are just stories, aren't they?

Halloween is winding down in Appalachia as it has grown deathly quiet outside. Chaos reigns in Appalachia as Charleston is attacked by aliens and scorched trick or treaters and wendigos are hunting outside. Chad's gang huddles close safely inside the Rusty Pick by a warm fire, reading the last two stories before Susie is tucked into bed. And yet...

When this began, I don’t think any of us imagined what #FalloutForHope would become.
The holidays approach and we are needed once more. Gamers from all over the world unite in the name of every child fighting for their lives at @StJude and doubly so in the name of all of those who lost that fight.
The Fallout community comes home for the holidays and when we're done...we'll have raised half a million dollars to make a difference in the world.
We hope you'll join us. https://falloutforhope.com/

--- Send in a voice message: https://podcasters.spotify.com/pod/show/fallout76podcast/messageThe holidays have returned to Appalachia and with it, a dusty band of wandering performers led by the enigmatic, yet haunted Lord Alastair Olivier (Wes Johnson). Still changed in spirit since performing, "A Christmas Carol" last year, a heart once cold has begun to thaw and with it comes the terrible yearning to recapture a lost memory. A rare collaboration from the factions in the region has resulted in the rebuilding of WSAZ-TV, West Virginia's first television. A lost holiday classic is about to be recreated and broadcast...but sometimes nostalgia can be a trap.
Staged as part of the Fallout For Hope charity drive to benefit St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, we are joined by Bethesda's Pete Hines with the who's who of video game voice actors from Fallout 3, 4 and 76 and beyond.

After decades of abandonment, the neon lights are glowing at the Rusty Pick tavern as Chad's gang hosts a grand reopening celebration. As new faces drift through the crowd, outsiders have come in search of the "Treasure of Appalachia" and one group will stumble upon something far more valuable. Elsewhere Commander Johns and Charles Bishop still are hunting for Hugo Warren, their trail ending at Sugar Grove. With the help of an old ally, they uncover dark secrets that raise even more questions about Project Lazarus and the Appalachia Experiment. The Judge is on the move, about to fire the first shot that will mark the beginning of the Battle for Appalachia. The board is set, the pieces are in place. It all starts now.
These episodes are in loving memory to long time Bethesda Game Studios developer Ferret Baudoin, who recorded his lines prior to his untimely passing. His family has graciously allowed us to use them posthumously and it is fitting that in these episodes he will save the day, one last time.

I haven't and we haven't been okay for a long time now. I've been urged to tell our story and ask for help, how one night changed everything for us. This podcast, the charity work we do has been the only thing I've clung to that keeps me going and has been an outlet for me as a caregiver. Behind the scenes what we've been through the last 7 years with C-PTSD and Travis' mental health have been a nightmare we've been fighting out way out of. I don't know what else to do, so I'm asking for help this year. I've been suffering in silence and haven't even told friends the scope of this.
Q: Does this impact the podcast?
A: Not in the slightest...as this has been an ongoing struggle as long as the show has existed. I'm not going anywhere. The cost of producing the show also isn't a further financial burden because it is 100% funded by Patrons to whom I am forever endebted, because I couldn't have sustained our quality of sound and even video elements this long without them. We have more stories to come...I just wish I could deliver them to you faster.

As Wastelands and Raiders alike start to return to the region seeking a lost treasure, threats from within and without threaten to unravel a grand experiment almost half a century in the making. Out of options, the Judge places a long-distance phone call to the Capital Wasteland that will have shocking repercussions for everyone. Unknown to him, something has awoken from that very place and is moving swiftly towards them.
War is here. The first shots have been fired, as if notes in a Dark symphony carefully planned.

In a single day, Appalachia's peacekeepers and independent forces have fallen. The Five-0 New Responders HQ is in ruins, the radio station is empty, mindlessly looping songs and the Overseer is missing. And yet, for Wastelanders and Raiders alike they are rolling into the region to lay down roots of their own, no matter how unintended the consequences of that action may be. The Enclave have arrived from Raven Rock and are squeezing the Judge to get things back under control, little knowing that in a single stroke he now has the power to reset the board. Sanctuary Acres awaits...and this is the story of how they all ended up there.
