Welcome to The Ghost Light Theater! And Happy All Hallows'! Season: 1 Episode: 2

Welcome Back to our humble, dimly-lit Theater of the Mind that we lovingly refer to as: The Ghost Light Theater. It's been almost a month since our debut and Lucious & the whole team have been hard at work to bring you something truly special. An art form which has, sadly, fallen by the wayside is that of the "Old Time Radio (OTR) Drama". Some of the greatest stories ever written have either been adapted or written expressly to be showcased on Classic OTR Shows and performed by numerous talented actors. Unfortunately, our host & resident "Ethereal Actor" never got the opportunity to be cast in an OTR play in life, BUT he's making the most out of his Afterlife, and has decided to perform an entire play, which is a favorite amongst the entire team, from one of the most popular OTR Programs, Escape, and their adaptation of M.R. James' story, "Casting The Runes".  (Story starts @ 4:03)

Season: 1 Episode: 3

HO HO Oh...Hello again, Dear Friends! It has been some time since we last lit the flames of the gas lamps in our cold, quiet theater. We took some time off during the holidays of the cold, Winter months then when we returned and began production on episode 3, the world decided to fashion a nice hand basket for itself to go to Hell in... We heard you all are in Quarantine right now, and so Lucious & the entire team agreed that we MUST help you all out since the future of attending large gatherings, such as theatrical performances, are currently up in the air. Our door, here at the "Theater of the After Life", is always open.

*Post-hu-mous: (adjective) occurring, awarded, or appearing after death...* We, spirits, are none too fond of the warmth that Spring & Summer bring (perhaps we have just grown too accustom to the dark, cold embrace of the grave, but then again, we aren't leaving any time soon), so this time of year has us longing for the Fall & Winter, and the latter is the setting for our play this evening. Glenn Doyle's 20 Questions is our shadowy showcase, and we thank him for his blessing to perform his story on our program! While we're doling out thank you's, we send a special thank you to artist, Miss Amber Faye Armstrong for sketching the special, haunting cover art of "Dark Santa" for this episode! You can Follow Mr. Doyle on Instagram: @glenn_a_doyle, Miss Armstrong on Instagram: @ambubblebubs, and, while you're there, Follow the show (if you haven't already): @TheGhostLightTheaterPod

Episode: 2

*Headphones are encouraged, but headphone users should also Beware...*

Welcome Back to our humble, little Theater of Shadows! We're sure that you've noticed that this performance is billed as a "Mini-Episode", as well as our 1st Bonus Episode! We are diligently delving into the deep, dark recesses of the Speculative Fiction genre in order to bring you the highest quality, and, not to mention, the Spookiest show possible. We didn't want the pages of the 7th calendar month to flip by without providing you some sort of satisfyingly, albeit rather succinct, Haunting Horror...

The story presented for your listening pleasure here tonight is a short story by writer, Keith S and it's titled: I See You. You can read this short story for yourself at the following link: https://vocal.media/authors/keith-s

*Headphones are encouraged, but headphone users should also Beware...*

You are seated in an auditorium of indeterminate size; the walls extending into blackness, the ceiling shrouded by the darkness as well...the murmurs of the faceless audience members around you has reached its peak, but is beginning to subside...the lights are dimming, leaving only a solitary, brightly glowing bulb dangling from a string above center stage...its dim but powerful light scatters shifting shadows around the entire theater...the shadows appear to culminate on stage, encircling the light, and just as it extinguishes, you catch a fleeting glimpse of the figure of a smiling man beneath it, and you realize, for the 1st time, that you are in The Ghost Light Theater.

Hello Dear Friends, the great mahogany doors of "The Theater of the Afterlife" are open once again, beckoning you to join us & allow us to take you on another excursion into the darkest reaches of your imagination. Tonight, we give you the 2nd episode to feature a "Reincarnated" script from an Old Time Radio program. Not only that, but November 1st, 2020 (All Saints Day) marked one year since The GLT Podcast 1st 'Poe-miered'. Although this episode is a few weeks after the fact -- listen to the episode, and our illustrious, haunting Host will explain why -- it is still in celebration of that milestone! We hope you have enjoyed our 1st year of productions, and can't wait to share even more stories with you all.

This All Hallows' Eve, or rather, "All 'Givings Eve" is a tale of love, betrayal, and magic. "Don't Tell Me About Halloween" was originally heard on the OTR show, Quiet Please, and our production features a guest artist: Dana Noel as Candace. And a Special Thank You to artist, ClovenCraft (@clovencrafted on Instagram) for this episode's incredible Cover Art.

It's an honor to bring you the 8th production to emanate from "The Theater of the Afterlife"! We are between seasons, but this is a special Bonus Episode, our 2nd for you, GLT Trivia Buffs out there. This episode is in honor of both, Black History Month & Women in Horror Month, which were both in February; however, we experienced a delay or two and the episode was not complete until now, so it is also in honor Women's History Month, seeing as our 1st story is an original short story by, the 1st female author in our show's short history so far; however, we guarantee that it shall NOT be the last! Besides, we should all celebrate Black Individuals & Women, in and out of the Arts, every single month of the year.

We are proud to feature an imaginative & fun -- for all but our friend, Mark -- short story, entitled: Pew Pew by the talented, Aigner Loren Wilson (@frekihowl on Instagram; www.aignerlwilson.com); this story is the 1st in a Trilogy (followed by Bang Bang & Boom), so visit her website & follow her to stay up to date with her future works and to find out how you can read, or possibly hear, this story's conclusion.

Our 2nd story is a relatively short excerpt from the Classic play turned motion picture: Ma Rainey's Black Bottom, written by the Late, Great, Legendary August Wilson. If you are not familiar with him and his other scripts, such as: Fences, The Piano Lesson, and Joe Turner's Come & Gone, to name a few, then we are thrilled to be the 1st to introduce you to such a trailblazing figure. The original play script can be read in full here: https://augustwilsonstudygroup.files.wordpress.com/2018/02/ma-rainey-_1_.pdf
